Bagh Print is a traditional hand block print with natural colors, practised in Bagh, Dhar district in Madhya Pradesh, India. Its name is derived from the village Bagh on the banks of the Bagh River.
Created using vegetable and natural dyes, especially extracted from roots of Aal or madder, the resultant colors are bright shades of red and black, used for making stylised prints and intricate motifs on lustrous fabric.
Bagh Prints are geographically tagged and is protected under the Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration & Protection) Act (GI Act) 1999 of the GOI
